Citizenship via Reacquisition

For individuals  who previously lost or forfeited their citizenship, often due to naturalization in another country before dual citizenship was recognized in 1992, the path to reclaiming their heritage has never been more relevant. The Italian government has opened a temporary legislative window allowing individuals who previously lost or forfeited their citizenship to reclaim it, however this anticipated window is strictly temporary. The Italian government has established a firm deadline of December 2027 for all applicants to formally initiate and submit their reacquisition requests under these specific regulatory provisions.

Navigating cross-border bureaucratic procedures requires meticulous attention to detail. Our company provides comprehensive, end-to-end legal support, managing the complexities of Italian municipal records, historical naturalization archives, and consular protocols. Below is the step-by-step process of how we guide you from initial onboarding to holding your new Italian passport.
